![]() I've been searching for an answer to this problem for over a month. If I deleted my connection, and I wasn't successful adding the library via the 4 digit code, how did it end up being visible in the Remote app? Any insight into this issue would be appreciated. Now tonight, it suddenly works without any additional intervention from me (I can control iTunes via the Remote app) but I never added the 4 digit code to iTunes, and I still don't see a Remote button. My airport stations were all visible from my Mac. Remote app and iTunes for Mac were both open. My home Wifi connection is strong, and my iPhone was connected via USB for pairing. I cold-booted the phone (iPhone 6 iOS 8.2), the Mac (mid 2012 MBP, Yosemite), and my router, and had no luck. But there was still no place in iTunes 12.1 to put the 4 digit code generated by the Remote app - and there used to be. I turned off Home sharing and turned it back on with both devices. Steps taken: I deleted the library's icon on my Remote app, and tried to begin from scratch with the pairing process. In my case, I had Remote already paired and set up for over a year, and it suddenly stopped working, (perhaps around the time iTunes had DNS connectivity issues last week). I see a phone tab where it seems like it should be (see screen image below), but it's just detail for my phone, which is connected via USB. One challenge for me (and for other users I've seen in other forums) is that the documentation says to "Choose Remote from the Tab Bar" in iTunes - but - there is no visible "Remote" button/icon in iTunes. I have the same issue (adding an iTunes library to my Remote app), but it used to work fine for me. ![]()
